To Toronto - Antoine Vermette Nick Foligno Martin Gerber 1st round pick in '09
To Ottawa - Vesa Toskala Antropov Alexie Ponikarovsky
Ottawa gets their legit goalie, and also get two capable scoring wingers. (which they need)
We take Gerber off your hands for his last year. Vermette gets to play his first line minutes.
Many would disagree and Flame me for this proposal, And there are probably some good reason to.
But I think it matches a need for both teams

Hmmm... not bad at all, though Ottawa might be getting the short end of the stick by a little bit.
Perhaps remove Foligno and throw in a different pick, and it might be doable.

Im just thinking if Toskala and Antropov can get 1st round picks on their own...maybe foligno would be ok..but yeah its a little steep.

I'm thinking Toskala to the Avs could come to be. It all depends on young Budaj(sp?). They have good players at both F and D. If they are unsure if Budaj can take them to the playoffs, I think Toskala can be the perfect pickup for them. They would have a strong chance of going deep IMO. Not sure yet what I would ask for in return. I would love Stastny, but I know that won't happen. LOL!!!

All in all, Toskala will not be traded. Thus wasting his trade-ability.

Leafs would definitely have to take back Gerber though, because I doubt Ottawa wants that much money tied up in goalies (plus Emery's buyout).
Toskala + Van Ryn for Vermette + Gerber + pick
That might've made some sense.

Not really a trade but I really for see next summer the Leafs signing Mike Cammalleri on July 1st. Which I'd be very pleased with. A young center men with good leadership who's also a home town boy. Can't complain with that.

I'd say something along these lines:
Ian White and an apology (which I believe came in the form of a 4th rounder)
To florida:
For Chad Kilger and the 4th rounder back.
...note: for those of you who didn't notice, this is sarcasm lol

At the Deadline
To Washington: Vesa Toskala
To Toronto: Eric Fehr Kieth Seabrook
Leafs lose arguably their best asset, and get 2 good prospects.
Washington is looking to win now, since they had a little taste last year.
