Joel Champagne finishes the night with a fantastic season debut. 1 goal, 1 assist, 2 points, 2 PIM's, +2 rating, and 14 - 9 in faceoffs.
This is from a guy who is 6'4 210, who was drafted as a shutdown forward, and who put up onyl 40 points last season.
He had a great preseason for Chicoutimi as well. Could this be the beginning of a breakout year?

Didomenico making his QMJHL season debut today for the Sea Dogs. Dido, Champagne, Stefanovich... some decent prospects in the Q for the Leafs!!! I think that Mitchell is going to have a huge year for Windsor. They are rated the top team in the CHL and are loaded with talent. Should make for a terrific season for Dale.

I agree that Mitchell could up monster numbers this season. He's got some terrific teammates, including guys like Nemisz, Hall, and Ellis.
I'd keep an eye on Champagne as well. He looked very good during the preseason and has started out well so far for Chicoutimi.

The bigger guys seem to take a little longer to develop, trying to figure out their body. Hopefully he can develop into a nice 3 line center/shut-down guy (If not more!!!).

Didomenico and Champagne are both in action for their respective clubs starting today at 4pm ET. Both games are available via free online streaming at the following link: qmjhl.mytelus.com/For those of you who don't normally get the chance, try watching some junior hockey. It's pretty cool, especially to follow Leafs prospects.

Also the local Cable station (Cogeco) regularly shows the Niagara IceDogs games. I saw them play Oshawa the other day. Tavares was the first star!!! ;D I'd like to watch them today, but I'm going golfing this afternoon (as long as the weather holds off!!!)
