Which players do you see the Leafs selling at the deadline and for what kind of return?

Some obvious ones:
Vesa Toskala for a late 1st round pick + prospect
Alexei Ponikarovsky for a 2nd round pick

Van Ryn or White (depending on which is still around come March, I don't think it'll be both) and Ponikarovsky.

This is really a difficult thing to predict with any certainty, but with the way Cliff has been running things so far one is able to make some educated guesses.
Vesa Toskala
A lot here depends on the performance of Justin Pogge. After an impressive season with the Marlies, i felt that he was done a disservice by being denied valuable time in the playoffs. As our goalie of the future he should have been front and center for the Mini-leafs in any sort of meaningful game. I pray it does not hurt his confidence in anyway. If he is able to prove that he has what it takes for the NHL come the deadline, Toskala will be quickly moved for Pogge to gain some experience in the big leagues later in the season under the guidance of Joseph.
Toskala should be able to fetch a first rounder and a prospect at least i believe. I fully expect him to have some great numbers outside of the win loss column thanks to a much improved defense and Ron Wilson's approach on the game.
Kaberle/Kubina
One of these two defensemen should be moved at some point throughout the year, and any playoff contender would be happy to have them through the stretch run. I feel that a lot of this will be Ron Wilsons call on which of the two he will want to loose.
I expect that it will be Kaberle waving goodbye to leafland in 09, and he should be able to get us a high pick and a solid prospect. He is a great defensemen with a outstanding salary in todays market.
The Twin Towers
I see Antropov really stepping it up this year with the absence of Mats Sundin, and do not believe he will be moved. Pony on the other hand, unless he is able to up his game big time, should be on his way.
Pony shouldn't get much, maybe a mid-round pick. If Antropov does happen to get moved id expect a little more in return, higher pick or a prospect all depending on his performance.
Defense
With overload on defense, apart from Kubina and Kaberle i am certain that at least one more defensemen will get moved at some point in the season to make room for Schenn late in the season/next year. My guess is Van Ryn. I see him being a little stale to start the season but after Christmas he should pick it up and play strong through Jan-deadline. This should entice some playoff hopefuls and land us a pair of picks. If not Van Ryn, it will either be a team praying that they can squeeze some injury free time out of Coliacovo or Ian White moved, neither bringing us much in return.
Forwards
This is where it really depends on performances throughout the year. Blake and hagman are in similar situations, either will get moved if Cliff is offered anything of value. I could see Holloweg, Mayers or Moore shipped out for a weak pick. Apart from Bell(who i like and hope he doesn't get moved) most of the remaining leaf forwards are fairly untouchable, and it would have to take a fair offer to lure them away from management.
Option Z
The leafs young guns preform far beyond expectations, Jeff Finger becomes a shut down defensemen, Stralman exceeds McCabe in point production, Toskala is a wall most nights leading to the leafs sitting in 6th place around the deadline and importing instead of exporting.
Leaf Fan until death, heres to Option Z

He is a great defensemen with a outstanding salary in todays market. That's why I'm hoping that due to his amazing contract. He will fetch us more than a 1st and 1 prospect.

I expect to see one of the defense to get moved sometime throughout the year as well. I think there is a chance Antropov is gone and hopefully (even though Kaberle has been my fav leaf the past few years) either Kaberle or Kubina moved ... Id put my money on Kaberle. I think its for the best if he leaves for him and the team but I wouldnt be mad if he stayed as I hated the way Sundin and Mccabe were treated and I get the feeling Mccabe is gonna have a very good year.

I really don't believe Sundin or McCabe were treated that unfairly. Understand that this is a business and Cliff had to make some business decisions.
If anything, it is Sundin who is treating Maple leaf Management and us the fans badly. Refusing to waive his NTC last season due to the fact he didn't want to hop on board a Stanley cup hopeful then turning around and doing just that. After mulling it over for the entire summer he still hasn't made up his mind, and most likely half way through the season he will jump onto a division leader most likely, leaving us leafs with absolutely nothing going against what he said trade deadline 08. Don't get me wrong, i love Sundin and have the utmost respect for him and what he has done for us. I still remember the conference finals against the Hurricanes where with seconds left he shoved that wrap around in to tie the game on the brink of elimination. I ran down the streets of Ottawa screaming my head off while a bunch of sens fans stared out their windows green with envy. Still there is no way you can say the leafs have treated him badly, Cliff made it clear upon being appointed as GM that come this season, our team would be much different.
McCabe as well has been great in the blue and white, but he should have known and accepted the fact that he would either be moved or demoted in a large and embarrassing way.
This can all be traced back to JFJ and his handouts of NTC's, which has put both the former leaf stars and the new management in a bad position. We needed to move on, and if feelings were hurt in anyway then thats just to bad.
In my mind Cliff has done an outstanding job at handling the situation that was put in front of him, and he should be commended by leafs fans across the world.

If there is a god Antropov will finally be let free. I'd love to see all the pieces that can get a return shipped off, Kubina, Kabs, Toskala...who knows what for

Blake and hagman are in similar situations, either will get moved if Cliff is offered anything of value. It would be tough to move Blake, his contract is rather expensive. Hagman on the other hand would have to waive his no trade clause that he was given for the first year of his contract.

I'm going to compile two separate lists. The first one is going to be what I WANT TO happen and the second is what I think is likely to happen.
Before I begin, I am making the assumption that the Leafs are 10 or more points out of the playoffs by the deadline and have truly no hope of making it. I am also assuming the players listed have had decent years given their ice time and roles and have also not missed a lot of time due to injury which has allowed their value to be decent.
Toskala for a 1st, 2nd, 1A goalie or a top 10 prospect.
Kubina for a 1st, 4th and a top 20 prospect.
Antropov for a 1st and a top 20 prospect or a top 5 prospect, 2nd and a 4th.
Van Ryn for a 2nd or a 3rd and a top 15 prospect
Ponikarovsky for a 2nd or a 3rd and a top 15 prospect.
Mayers for a 2nd or a 3rd and a top 20 prospect.
Bell for a 3rd or 4th and a top 20 prospect.
Blake for a 3rd and a 5th.
Devereaux for a 3rd or 4th and a top 20 prospect.
Moore for a 3rd or 4th and a top 20 prospect.
After deadline day, the Leafs, if these players play most of the games this year and play to their average potential or better, the Leafs should be able to have AT LEAST another 1st round pick, another three 2nd round picks, another three 3rd round picks and another three to five top 20 prospects in their system. At best, the Leafs could see themselves acquiring three 1st round picks, four 2nd round picks, four 3rd round picks or four 4th round picks and five top 20 prospects.
Now, here's what's probably going to happen on deadline day.
Van Ryn, Bell, Mayers, Ponikarovsky, Moore, Devereaux and MAYBE Kubina go to various teams for a combined 1st, two 2nds, two 3rds, one 4th, one 5th and two prospects.

Van Ryn, Blake, Devereaux, Moore I would agree with Van Ryn, Devereaux and Moore, but I wouldn't say Blake is overvalued. Hell U_G has him getting us less than Gill
