If it's a draft pick in return, we'll take it

Better to trade him then rot on the bench I suppose. Don't think that we'll get much in return.

I think Stajan has some potential still... He's been a victim of lack of ice time the whole time he's been with the Leafs. How can you get better only playing 6-8 mins a game? And whenever he was moved up and did well, he was quickly moved back down to 3rd/4th line to make room for some bum coming back from injury. I think he's excellent at puck control along the boards and behind the net. The one thing he is lacking is the hunger...
I'm not opposed to a trade though.... :\

Carolina Hurricanes Stajan for Eaves Colorado Avalanche Stajan for Svatos New York Islanders Stajan for Comeau Washington Capitals Stajan for Fehr All of those players are better than Stajan lol. The most realistic might be Washington if they're ready to give up on Fehr, but at 23 years old, probably not.

Eaves hasn't done a thing at the nhl level. Comeau is a projected 2nd or 3rd line prospect who was recently sent back down. Fehr has been a bust to date and there are constant rumours that Washington wants to move him. The only one you can truly argue is Svatos because he actually has some nhl stats to back it up.

No need to get agressive when defending your points. What I meant to say that all of those players are likely worth more trade value-wise than Stajan, even though Stajan might be the better player right now. But I see what you mean. Eaves and Comeau are indeed pretty overrated. I just replied briefly by name recognition, but looking at their stats really leaves a lot to be desired. Heck, I'd rather have Stajan over both of em. Fehr is an intriguing case, and I wouldn't call him a bust because he's been a victim of injuries and has put up solid AHL numbers. He's only just 23 and as a power forward, they tend to take a little more time to develop. I do think WSH is very willing to move him, but I'd imagine it'd be a similar high reward type potential player with question marks. Svatos is a puck hog, but as you said, he's got some pretty nice stats.

Whoa bud, respect who you're talking with their pal. Alex was one of the first couple of guys reporting that Fehr rumor you're hearing about as well is one of the most hockey knowledgeable people on this site. Tone down the attitudeeeeeeeeee.

IMO we should trade him to the New York Islanders for a younger (not necessarily NHL ready) prospect. Anything the Leafs can do to improve the teams we are fighting against for the bottom (top) 5 picks is good. Even if we slightly lose the trade short term.
Also I think that if he was given a more offensive role he could produce.

Respect is earned. Who are you to tell me to do anything anyway? Welcome to Toronto! Says the new kid on the site. Sorry I just thought it was in your best interest to know you were being rude to one of the founders and moderators of this site. Your what thirty odd posts kind of dwarfs in comparison to his seven hundred some not including articles that he's posted here. Not trying to beat a dead horse here but just letting you know where respect is due.

He's a solid player but he's having trouble adjusting to Wilson, and despite his solid game last night, maybe it's time for a change for both sides. We wouldn't be able to get to much for him, but if Fletcher is crafty enough we could get a decent return.

Call me crazy, but I'd be alright with putting Steen and Stajan in a package together if it meant getting a better return.

Why do I even ask this question to someone who is so insignificant in life? No one cares about your opinion by the way. You're a fan like everyone else, stop trying to act like an insider or some sort of source of vast hockey knowledge. I quess it was inevitable that some internet tough guy would show up. Here's a newsflash...nobody cares what YOU have to say because you clearly have an attitude problem and don't really have anything of importance to say.

Ooooh told Carlton the bear to bounce. Bad ass over here really showing all the online readers who's the big tough guy around here. Seriously if you're just going to be rude and try and start stuff can you do it on a habs or sens forum?
