Very nice read Alex.
More importantly, it is great to hear that one of our prospects is worth more than a pinch of sh*t !! I liked the way he played the other night (as I mentioned). He seemed to be everywhere including the high traffic areas which is what impessed me most about him. Keep the articles coming…..GO LEAFS !!

Alex what kind of nhl player do you see in DiDo? Any possible comparison to someone already in the NHL or just an indication as to what kind of line potential this kid has?

Well for some reason, the way Dido stickhandles (in a crouched sort of manner), and the way he shoots (very good shot) and creates plays (also very good) reminds me of Sergei Samsonov, albeit a much more annoying, physical, and defensively responsible version. A player of Dido's size is usually boom or bust. It's either he becomes a legit NHL top 6 forward that can be very annoying, and score 50+ points, or he becomes a fringe AHL player. There's really no in between, because he's not big enough or fast enough to handle a bottom six defensive role.

There's really no in between, because he's not big enough or fast enough to handle a bottom six defensive role. I saw the "Game in an hour" against the Sen's rookies and Dido looked good. He was a threat offensively, he hit, went into the traffic areas, and was impressive defensively. Hopefully this kid continues to develop and turns into a good NHLer. I agree with you about him being a top 6 forward or nothing at all. He could probably become a good second line center. He's got the offense, the grit and determination and the defensive awareness to fill that role nicely!! He's listed at 5'11'' 165lbs, but he looked bigger than that, especially when he was playing with Rogers(6'3'' 215lbs) and Stefanovich(6'2" 202lbs). At least he played bigger than that!!
