So the only note-worthiness about tonight’s Panthers-Leafs match-up is that Luke Schenn is back (Jaime Sifers takes a seat). Also, persona non grata Bryan McCabe is returning to the ACC.
To boo or not to boo? I wouldn’t personally. I have nothing against booing former controversial players, I don’t find that lacks class or any of that haughty nonsense. McCabe undoubtedly had a penchant for royal screw-ups, exacerbated or perhaps facilitated by the post-lockout rule changes, but I don’t think he did anything overly harmful. He was fantastic in his pre-lockout days, and in the post-lockout days was perhaps the only guy in the mediocre organization with arguably the right idea: screw up as much as possible and sink for the draft pick. His teammates and management just weren’t on the same wave length, equating to 9th place finishes. But what I really respect McCabe for is that he accepted that he wasn’t apart of the direction Fletcher was steering this franchise and waived his NTC. It’s much more than can be said about certain individuals currently in Vancouver and Colorado, as well as a few still inhabiting the Leaf dressing room today.

I also heard that Deveaux is back and Newburry was sent down. Glad to have Luke back!!! ;D ;D I don't think that McCabe deserves to be booed. I'm all for booing him as a Leaf when he screwed up, but I don't see the need to boo him upon his return to TO. It's not like he screwed the Leafs and left in a bad way.

I thought maybe Toskala knocked it off intentionally with all of that pressure, but it was Kubina quite a bit earlier.

Ok I just saw 2 stills, one with the net off before the goal and one of a current shot from above Toskala. I stand corrected, it was the right call.

Leafs starting to establish themselves finally... after a terrible 8 minutes of hockey Toskala is swimming around out there like he's having a seizure. Way to agressive for his own good. At the start of the year, Toskala's problem was that he was backing into his net. So he made an adjustment and is now being very aggressive in getting out into the white ice to close the angles. Can't seem to find the balance, he's completely out of it if a shooter makes either a move or a pass
