Apparently the Leafs' management/coaching staffs has been thinking about bringing up Pogge to see if he can handle the NHL. With Cujo struggling the way he is, is it time to bring Pogge up now?? Personally, I'd like to see him up here rather soon to see what he can do. I saw him live in a preseason game in Buffalo in September, and he was awesome. I'd like to see if he can handle it. If he can we can investigate the possibility of moving Toskala!!
I think Washington might be a good fit for Toskala, since Theodore isn't getting it done right now. Do they have enough faith in Johnson to make him the starter and go into the playoffs with him?? Varlemov has had a couple good games, but he's a rookie with very little experience. I think if the Leafs were to move Toskala to the Caps, they'd have to take back Theodore (for cap reasons), but since they make almost the same amount(Theodore is .5mil more) and their contracts are the same length, it might be a good fit.

Pogge has looked really great in preseason action. I haven't seen him play with the Marlies, but I just don't feel he will be a great goaltender. I hope I'm wrong though. Either way, I think moving Toskala is the best bet, as long as the return is sweet. I think he is a great goaltender, but he's just not showing the hunger that he had last year. I just hope his stats this year go overlooked by the other gm's Give Pogge a butt-load of starts, even if he loses a lot, he needs the experience, and it's a win-win situation for the Leafs anyways. If he loses lots, we get a better pick... if he's awesome, then we have our next #1.

Plus, even if Pooge's loosing a lot, he could be playing pretty well, and developing.
