Today on the Bill Watters Show they said that Finger will almost certainly play tomorrow against the Sens. They were talking to Wilson and he said that he expects him to play. If that is the case, then a transaction will have to be made. They said that Tlusty is a good bet to be sent down. He practiced on the 4th line today with Mitchell, Meyers and Hollweg. Blake was back in the lineup with Moore and Steen. They also said that Frogren would probably be the guy to come out of the lineup to make room for Finger. He played the least amount last game.

Should be Tlusty, as I think he might not have to clear waivers (someone know for sure?) And Colaiacovo/white most certainly have to clear (and they wouldn't).
I'd say leave Frogren in, we need a guy that will block shots with his face if he has to... Although Stralman is better this year, I'm still not a big fan of him...

Tlusty doesn't have to pass through waivers. That's why Watters suggested it. He was on the 4th line yesterday at practice with 3 other guys, so one of them isn't playing and someone has to be sent down. Tlusty makes the most sense because he really doesn't belong on the 4th line or in the press box. If you are going to do that it's more beneficial to send him the Marlies so he can get more playing time. As for Frogren, Finger is a very similar player who blocks shots, hits and plays solid defense. That's why they suggested Frogren. They said can't take Kaberle, Kubina or Schenn out, and Stralman is playing well and needs to be in, and VAn Ryn has been their best dman the last few games so he deserves to be in. That leaves Frogren who is trying to adjust to the North American game (I think he's doing a good job). That's how they described it.

I guess Tlusty is the right guy to send down because he doesn't have to clear waivers and can get more icetime including PP and SH with the Marlies. However, something has to give, the Leafs clearly have too many players and Cliff has to move some bodies.

He'll get top minutes with the Marlies, and hopefully get some confidence back. He tore up the 'A' last year at the end of the year. Hopefully he can get it back and he'll be back with the Leafs in about 15 games. Hopefully Cliff can make some room by then.
