Webster's defines "agony" as extreme and generally prolonged pain. Leafs fans would classify agony as no postseason appearances since 2003-04 and no Cup since 1967. That won't change as management takes the long-term approach. "If you asked us if you were to pay for a Stanley Cup team this year, but you were to be lousy for the next five years, would you do it? The answer from the ownership point of view, absolutely not," co-owner Larry Tanenbaum told the Toronto Star. Is that really how Leafs fans feel?

Bottom of the rankings look as such:

25th - Columbus
26th - Atlanta
27th - Los Angeles
28th - St. Louis
29th - New York (I)
30th - Toronto

Haha, I don't think we'll be quite that low, although it would certainly be nice to get Tavares/Hedman.

I think we'll be ahead of Atlanta, Los Angeles St. Louis and possibly New York (I).

4th or 5th last sounds about right.

Yeah, that's too low.

I think all that is, is a writer trying to poor salt in the wounds. Putting the Leafs last to get a stir going.

I think Atlanta is going to be the bottom team this year. After that I think Toronto and NYI are going to be battling for 29th, LA will be too if they can't get their goalie situation figured out.
