Wilson mentions that he really liked the Hagman - Grabrovski - Kulemin line, and how they were buzzing around the net in the 3rd thanks to their speed. Me too, said that a couple posts ago. I liked what they did in the third. I think that he meshes better with them then Antro. I think Antro Steen and Pony will work well together too.

In his post-game interview, Wilson says he really, really likes Grabrovski so far. - Works very hard - Makes the effort defensively - Very competitive - Dangerous offensively - Is only going to get better ;D Looks good to me!! I've seen that too. Not rock solid defensively but at least he tries!! You can't get 84 stitches on your chin playing on the perimeter. He really gets involved, as best he can for a little guy. I like that when he goes onto the traffic areas he usually comes out with the puck!! The guy can stickhandle in a phonebooth!!

White had a terrible game tonight, for those who didn't see the game!!! He completely fell asleep on the first goal when VanRyn tried to pass to him he wasn't paying attention. Yeah it was a bad pass, but it wouldn't have been so bad if White was paying attention. Then while backchecking on that play (the bad VanRyn pass he missed from not paying attention) he put the puck in his own net, although that was more bad luck than anything!! Then to top off the night he gave Hagman a suicide pass and nearly killed him. I bet White isn't getting a Christmas card from Hagman!! What an absolutely stupid play. Hagman was standing still along the boards and White gently let the puck roll to Hagman 3ft away who then got completely crushed by Oshie!!
Hopefully they'll stop playing White and start giving more games to guys who will be on the team. White is as good as gone!!

Fantastic game tonight guys! Are you as disappointed as me not seeing Kulemin in the shootout?? I thought for sure he'd be one of the 3 guys to go!! Grabs move was too flashy, hope he's got more than that!! He's got such a great shot, I thought he was going to shoot!! I was shocked when they said Schenn!! What a move!!!

Yeah, regarding the blueliners:
Kaberle - his usual self for the most part
Schenn - absolutely fantastic, Leafs best D-man in his own end
Kubina - great game as well, Leafs best overall D-man
Colaiacovo - rock solid for the most part, but not as good as his previous games
White - pretty bad game overall, didn't do much offensively (got Hagman rocked b/c of a poor pass) and made some defensive gaffes
Van Ryn - unspectacular, no huge glaring mistakes, but not overly impressive either

I thought he wasn't very good. He made a few bad passes, bobbled the puck at the blueline a few times - a couple on the PP even and was weak defensively. Didn't like what I saw from Kaberle tonight. He's got to be better. I think he might be in for a lower offensive output this year than in the past. He's been going down in production for a couple years now. He really needs to be better than he's shown in the preseason.

Kaberle always seems to have slow starts to the season. I wouldn't be suprised if he doesn't look in tip top form well into October.
Loved Wilson's coaching this game especially with the shoot-out. I admit I was hella suprised when I heard Kubina's name called out. Thought our hopes for a W were done right then and there. Then with Schenn to nap the winner, it was all just a great finish to the game considering how slow it started.

I was shocked when they called Schenn, but that was an absolutely awesome move. And to think that was his first ever shootout attempt!! I thought that they'd go with Kulemin as one of the shooter.

I missed the game Schenn is having a great camp, if he continues this the rest of the way, will he have impressed enough to stay, or does he go to the CHL or Marlies?
